Computer Control and Monitoring
Today’s complex refrigeration systems and safety requirements demand an equally complex and user-friendly control system. Cal C.A. is currently providing systems that focus on the latest concerns for maintaining product quality, energy management, and worker safety. At the center of the more sophisticated systems is the latest PC clone computer as the host with custom designed control strategies, trending, and historical data storage for each project. Control strategies include:
- Temperature monitoring and stable control
- Humidity monitoring and control
- Energy conscious control of compressors and condensers
- Fan cycling and speed control with automatic feedback
- Power monitoring
- Atmosphere monitoring and control, and ammonia detection
- Alarm management and failsafe features
The computer is interfaced with industrial hardened I/O hardware for a dependable package. This hardware is integrated with switch and light panels completely designed and built in-house. Each panel is U/L listed after being built to current U/L standards and checked by U/L staff. Designing and fabricating our own control panels allows us the degree of control required to make installation, start-up, and operation simple and straightforward.
