Industrial Systems Design

California Controlled Atmosphere is a design-build contracting firm that specializes in industrial refrigeration design, construction, and service.  Most contractors take design specifications written up by consulting engineers.  If those specifications leave out parts vital to the system’s operation, expensive change orders can add up, causing job fees to escalate.  Having our own design department gives us complete responsibility for the full mechanical design.  The advantage of this is being able to submit bids, complete from design and construction to service.  This provides our clients with proposals and prices on complete systems so you know, up front, what your costs will be.  Our projects seldom require change orders saving you time and money.

Design-build experience consists of:

• Refrigeration for cold storage and freezer storage systems
• Hydro-cooling for fresh produce
• Wine and juice chilling
• Process product heating for degreening of citrus fruit
